Technical diving with a torch in a cavern at Portofino

Intro to Tech

The first step into technical diving. Solid foundations to go further.

The move from recreational to technical diving isn’t a leap into the unknown. It’s a gradual path that begins with the right foundations.

The Intro to Tech course is designed for those who want to understand what diving with a technical mindset means: rigorous planning, equipment redundancy, total control of buoyancy and propulsion, advanced gas management.

There’s no talk of decompression or mixes yet. The work is on the fundamentals: the skills that set a technical diver apart from an advanced recreational one.

The programme covers

Technical equipment configuration. Advanced propulsion techniques. Buoyancy and trim control at a technical level. Valve drill and emergency management. Gas planning and management. Situational awareness.
