The Sidemount Experience is a full day dedicated to discovering this configuration. It isn’t a course and gives no certification: it’s an experience designed to let you feel first-hand what diving in sidemount is like.
How the day works
The morning is devoted to theory and preparing the equipment. You learn how the configuration works, how the cylinders are worn, how regulators and valves are managed. Everything is explained and tried on land, calmly, before you enter the water.
In the afternoon, you descend. A guided dive in the Portofino Marine Reserve lets you test the versatility and comfort of sidemount in real conditions. You feel the difference at once: the trim, the freedom of movement, the control.

Prerequisites
- Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
- Good general health
